When the Black Lives Matter movement began, my heart broke for the ugliness we try to deny and hide around racism, and I asked myself what I could do about it. I realized that I could say to the Black people around me that I see you, and you are beautiful. This is a small pair, a man and woman, on small rough-wood bases.
