Clay Figure Sculpture "Thinking Hard"

Juxtaposition. Contrast of shapes and materials. Minimal color. This quiet piece has a ceramic face topped with a wooden block shaped with abstract cuts. I cut it on a bandsaw years ago and it was part of another piece that I decided to repurpose. I can't even tell how I did this cutting--it shouldn't work! It fit just right above the face and into the box, so here we are.
