Contemporary Clay Sculpture "Intersection"

The internet teaches us that we're never the only one doing something...and one thing I do sometimes is look at my hands in various positions. I had the notion I would do black and white photography of hands--they're so beautiful and weird and interesting, but it's been done before (well, so has everything else...).

So here we are with hands making intersecting C shapes, courtesy of a morning when I didn't want to get up yet, so I started looking at my hands. The negative space is what attracted me to this combination. This clay has heavy grog, which gives it a pebbly (tiny, tiny pebbles) texture.
