Clay Figure Sculpture "Drowning in Plastic"

This piece evolved as I was making it: I glazed the hands and face, and then painted over that, then put the hands and face into a large plastic bag and poured in pale blue resin. Then I attached the whole thing to a wooden slab that I just loved, with its story of trunk and branches. And then, because why would I be done? I cut off the plastic bag and left the resin, with its readable shapes that show how it was formed.

This piece is intended to hang on the wall, although it could be leaned against the wall just like paintings can be.
